Juggling since 2006

This is how it all started…

Melanie started juggling by throwing yarn balls around, and then her dad showed her a proper cascade in 2006. She then juggled in parks by herself for 10 years before discovering other jugglers on the internet and in person. In 2015, she went to her first juggling festival (Kansas City), and has continued to travel and visit jugglers all over the world. She performs often, either for roaming corporate gigs, birthday parties, or presenting her duo act with Marvin Ong on the big stage. She coaches, teaches, researches, and celebrates all things juggling.

There is a kind of magic in juggling that is different from the tricks of a magician. There is no hiding, no switches, no slight of hand; just lightning fast reflexes, muscle memory, and endless ways to flow with gravity. Watching high level juggling invokes a mesmerizing effect much like when you see an optical illusion. The simplest movements still take hours to perfect, and Melanie has put the time in to make her juggling as elegant and fluid as possible. She gains great joy from others learning how to juggle, because she believes so strongly in the benefits that it brings. Juggling enhances perseverance, persistence, and illustrates how to take life one catch at a time.
