I have always been a twitchy person, and like many, I have a hard time sitting still for too long. Ever since I found this beautiful, meditative artform, life has been more fun, enriching, and light.
We are all humans pulled to the earth by the magical forces of gravity. I say magical in the same way that juggling is magical: there is no trick, just forces at play. And playing with gravity is at the heart of juggling, because without the force against us, it would not be possible.
Now that I’ve had a few years juggling (about 20 at this point), I’ve seen the good, the bad, the legendary, and the ugly. I feel like all people understand the dedication required to refine one’s craft, to spend hours practicing, to push past setbacks, disenchantment, and disappointment, and so they appreciate seeing me juggle. They tell me the joy that it brings them, and that joy becomes infectious and I cannot help but be pleased.
There’s something insane about doing the same thing over and over, but there is something insanely therapeutic about it as well.
My juggle journey continues these days. I recently attended Circonvencion Mexicana, and was able to perform the Space Act there with my juggling partner Marvin Ong. Soon we will be performing our Water Act at the 2026 Boulder Juggling Convention in June.
Juggling has always and continues to bless my life, and I am eternally grateful that I picked up this niche hobby that essentially guided me on how to live in a better way, more in flow with the universe as a whole. I am grateful for the passion to keep playing, to keep inspiring others to play in their lives, to use their brains and bodies to satisfy their soul.
